Also known as Olympic Games 92 (that one published by Opera Soft), International Athletics is another sports games collection in the style of Epyx's C64 classic Summer Games or MindSpan's Summer Challenge. Quite a decent try by Spanish developer True Emotions with all the classic events featured such as long jump, javelin, 110-metre hurdles... eight in all. Gameplay is healthy to your hardware as it avoids the genre-usual joystick-shaking while mainly focusing on correct timing. Graphics and sound are ok, but the game is lacking compared to the classics in the genre. The various events usually end up being all the same in gameplay: Press right to set your speed, requires a bit of timing and then press the fire button at the right time, which is very often just pure luck.
