Come get some!
Not many know that, before the Duke Nukem series made their great entrance to mainstream gaming world with Duke Nukem 3D, it was a 2D side scroller action game and that it's history begins in the early eighties. While from the different viewpoint, the gameplay and the premise of the game are exactly the same - the world is attacked by ugly ass aliens and the always awesome Duke comes to the rescue, armed with an array of weapons worthy of a small country, a lot of cool one liners and all the action and violence the world can imagine. He need to get to the end of each level by shooting aliens, picking up items and powerups such as ammo, health, gun upgrades and more. He jumps over barrels and boxes, platforms, climbs ladders and is always on the run. The enemies that are coming at him are as ugly as they are in the 3D version, and as dangerous, too. The game's 2D gameplay is fun and exciting, but if you've played Nukem 3D, you will feel kind of nostalgic about the later game. The game's audio and video are pretty decent. The game is a great way for Duke Nukem fans to see how the game looked and played before it became as popular as it is today. Very nice!
