Sam is back and ready for more!
Pajama Sam's games are quite legendary in the edutainment genre with titles such as Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside and Thunder and Lightning Aren't so Frightening standing as near classics in the field. Games to Play on Any Day is a bit different from most of the other games in the series, not being an adventure as such and which is instead a collection of minigames but which still stands as a fine game for fans of old Sam. As the name suggests, this is a set of games to play when it's a bit grubby outside and which mostly focus around food. There are ten games to choose from, each of which has various difficulty levels and different modes, such as playing against the computer or another human. The games here include the likes of Goody Gum Drops, which is a variation on Reversi; Jumping Beans, which is a take on Checkers; Fans and Teleporters, which takes Snakes and Ladders as its inspiration; Concentrate (or Concentration); Cheese and Crackers (tic tac toe) and 4 Cheese Pizza, which is more like a fully fledged board game. There's no denying that there's a lot of entertainment value in this package. The ten games are all well chosen and nicely varied so whatever your tastes, there's bound to be something of interest here. The presentation and production values are as high as ever too, and all the games really look the part, with lots of nice bright visuals and sounds, while the appearance of some familiar faces also adds some appeal. Really, if you are a Sam fan there's no reason not to have this, so track it down now!
