Delightfully oldschool but a bit broken at times...
Here's a seriously old platformer game, one that could have been so much better, had it been just a bit more polished. I'm not talking about the graphics though, which as minimalist and as jagged (and color clashing as well!) as they were, were nonetheless really powerful and well, the kind that's a hit or miss from the get go. Nope, my problem with Bruce Lee is that it just misses the mark (literally at times) on the platforming bits. Some platforms look like you could jump on them, but if you're not perfectly aligned with them, just the way the game needs you to be, it's a near and very frustrating miss. At any rate, Bruce Lee does a great job otherwise, and if you can stomach some of the lesser worked bits, it's a game that will get the job done well enough. Alternatively, see the later remake which does away with many of the original's issues (the broken platforming bits where collision detection is not working are fixed, phew!) and gets the game to a point where it is as playable as you'd want it. Plus, while staying true to the original's color scheme, it nonetheless maxes out on the pixel count, for those of us that aren't used to 3 or for pixels making up an entire sprite head, hehe!
