Whodunnit?
Now this is a game which should require little in the way of introduction. The classic board game of murder and mystery is one which has been converted to home computers many times over the years and remains popular even to this day. This version is probably one of the better ones available, doing as it does a good job of bringing the atmosphere and character of the original to life. Just in case you're not familiar with this seminal game, it's a murder mystery adventure where you must discover who murdered the poor victim of a heinous crime. Not only that, you must also figure out in which room of the mansion the crime was committed as well as with what weapon. All the classic characters from the original are here, including Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett and Professor Plum and in pretty much every way this is a highly faithful interpretation. Perhaps the biggest draw here is the game's impressive graphics, which make use of a well detailed and authentic isometric view to bring players into Boddy Mansion and bring the whole gruesomely enjoyable situation to life. The character models are nicely animated and drawn and it's really nice seeing these people in the flesh so to speak, after having seen them as merely counters on a board for so long. The playing board and environments are also suitably well done and which further support the sense of unfolding drama. The interface is slick and intuitive, making it easy to pick up and play so really, if you have a few friends and fancy some computerised board game fun, then this, along with Monopoly and Stratego, is a surefire bet for a good time.
