Top down RPG with the famed Cimmerian adventurer
Conan the Cimmerian is a simple RPG, which feels like a more graphically polished version of Zelda. This is evident in the graphic style and look, it is evident in the simple interactions with the environment and also in the type of quests you are involved with. You will swap between managing your way through a larger map, where you can choose what your next location will be, and the game map, which shows you your close up in the game world. So, as it is, the game never feels too hard, as it never allows you to get lost. You are free to go wherever you want, though certain areas are bound by the story, and will only later become available, but other than that, as long as you can defeat the enemies you are free to roam wherever you feel like. The graphic style is simple, straightforward, and looks 16 bit like, which fits very well with the locations and the top down perspective. What could have been better are the animations of Conan himself, as well as the animations of the monsters and NPCs, but they won't affect your taking on of the experience. So, overall, a good RPG, simple, straightforward and never too boring. Give it a try, it is worth it.
