Cover Girl Strip Poker
Poker with a side dressing of boobs and full frontal nudity
Not the worst poker game out there, nor the worst one on the DOS platform, but neither something to jonese over. Cover Girl Strip Poker is your well below average poker simulator with the added benefit of offering some VGA nudes, if luck is with you. And luck is with you a little bit too since Cover Girl Strip Poker is a very unbalanced poker sim. I'm not much of an expert in ancient pornstar fandom, but I feel that I might have seen some of the models before. At least that was intriguing and more of a challenge to me, to try out and find out who these babes were. Maybe is a trick my aging memory is playing on me, maybe not, but what I did is, I spent a bit too much time with this game, and it didn't quite deserve it. And that's the problem. The more you play, the more you find that the odds are tilted in your favor. This isn't that good from a poker simulation point of view but it sure is a good thing if you want players to try your title for long enough and maybe search for some other products your company may be selling. However it's been a while since 1991 and I don't think that Emotional Pictures still is a developer. Maybe they should have chosen a better name for their company. So, it's late at night and I'm playing a pretty bad 1991 poker sim. What does that say about me? Am I some sort of pervert with a bit too much love for past cuties, old enough now to be grandmas?! Who knows... What I know is, if you want poker, go and try Poker. If you want poker with naked babes, here's a better alternative to Cover Girl Strip Poker, Strip Poker Professional. Love and peace to you all.
The worst by far
I really like Poker, but what makes it better is Strip Poker. There are a lot of these kind of games out there, my favorite being Strip Poker Professional, where you playing against 3 women simultaneously. Cover Girl Strip Poker however is the worst strip poker I even played. Hell, it is even the worst poker game. The only thing that makes this game so horrible is the control, which is the most important aspect of any GAME. If this element is broken, than nothing some the game from being horrible. In most GOOD pokers games, you conveniently use your mouse to play, offering easy gameplay. Here, you have to use you keyboard, and at first I din't it was bad at all...until I've played my very first game. Indeed you are given a list of choices that you can make before removing the cards, but the problem is that you can't figure out how to use those choices, like placing a bet, unless you have an instruction manual that MIGHT explain it. Another thing that I couldn't figure out is how to remove the cards I don't want. I selected the remove card option, tried selecting the first card and it was over. When I wanted to show my cards, the selected card was not removed and I automatically lost. After that, I shut of the game before bothering to even figure out what the other buttons do. The graphics are ugly, you can barely see the face of a woman at the woman selection screen. All in all, Cover Girl Strip Poker is only worth it for one who have nothing better to do than waste time on figuring out the control. Unless you're that type of person, stay away from this game and if you have in your computer, put it in the Recycle Bin because there is where it belongs.
