One for genre fans only
The title of this bizarre Japanese adult game gives you the idea that what follows isn't for kids so bear that in mind before even taking a look. However, if you do check it out, also be aware that you're not getting a traditional game but more a bit of adult interactive fiction, in a similar fashion to a modernized version of things like Zork. The title is basically a multi-scenario interactive novel with visuals that follows the adventures of a typically confused Japanese kid as he sets out on a voyage of discovery. Players take control of an 18 year old boy who's a little feminine who has never had much luck with the girls. The story really starts when he begins working at a restaurant where all the waitresses wear bunny suits, but who has some rather unusual interests. What follows is a sort of choose-your-own-adventure where you follow the various storylines, making decisions and choosing various options to see how things unfold. The biggest reason to play this game (apart from the obvious), is the visuals, which for this kind of thing are quite lush, with some lovely animation and artwork, although the character designs themselves are a little on the dull side. The same comment can also be made about the various plot lines unfortunately and given that this is a game which sells itself on its story, this is a bit of a problem. The characters are your typical stereotypes, while the stories just aren't interesting enough to really keep you hooked. Overall, the game is a curiosity but for anyone without a hardcore interest in this kind of thing, this is easily missed.
