Who can deny the fact that Doom is the ultimate old-school horror FPS out there. Normally, it cannot compete with the newer horror games like Dead Space. After Doom came Doom 2, which my personal favorite retro horror first person shooter, but what about Doom 2: TNT Evilution. Is it some sort of expansion pack or a level pack for the second game? Well, the answer is surprisingly a "NO", because TNT Evilution is an FPS that uses elements from Doom 2, like weapons, NPCs and so on. And believe it or not, the game wasn't even developed by idSoftware. Instead, it was made by TeamTNT. Now, there are a lot of internet pages that say that Final Doom, which this game is part of, but I still say that it's NOT an expansion pack, more like a Special Edition, but everyone has his own way to classify games or expansion packs. Now back to TNT Evilution. What's so different in this game. Well almost nothing at all: the game plays and feels like Doom 2, you're fighting the same monsters and you're playing as the same Nameless Soldier. There are only two differences, or at least that's how much I have found: the level design is different and some graphical enhancements were made, like the Imps fire now illuminates a short area around it, blood can now splattered on the walls and so on. Although it's nothing too special, I really enjoyed the game and whenever I heard the music, I feel like a badass whenever I mow down demons. In conclusion, Doom 2: TNT Evilution is a game that all the Doom fans out there would enjoy!
