Top down shooter/brawler, lite and fun
Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters puts you in the shoes of this character that is set on mayhem and destruction, not without reason though. The local planet is without doubts a melting pot of evil and of unrest, and thus, you have your background story. In terms of diversity, well, if you're into shooters, from a top down perspective, with the occasional power up and lots of bullet dodging, this one will surely have to do. Other than that, well, it's not the world's most diverse or flavorful game, but it manages to be pretty alright for lite players. Mostly, though, what will be appreciated is the lite atmosphere; while in most of such games you'd be sworn to darkness and the no Sun allowed rule (hehe!) in this one it's all happening in the daylight, which just makes the adventure a lot more fun to sink into. So, yeah, play it, it sure does a good job, overall, if you love, say, games such as Syndicate, but don't want to have to do anything with that one's complexity and intricacy, but, instead, just want to play a lite shooter kind of game, that doesn't take itself too seriously.
