Videogame recreation of the famed TV series
There is a whole lot to be said about digital versions of TV shows. For once, they include you directly, you are the one responsible for getting it right or not but, ultimately, the thrill of winning the sweepstake is no longer there. Also, the character and humor of the game presenter is generally missing which once again takes you out of the action. But, with Jeopardy! 2nd Edition both these items are somewhat safeguarded. The original Alex Trebek is present digitally, as he hosts the game. Thus, his voice will add another incentive for American players who are nostalgic or simply loved the set up of the original. The database of questions is large enough to keep you playing for tens of times without too much overlap, and the other rules of the game are kept as is. So, the game manages to create that feel of immediacy and big winnings that people love so much, and therefore, if you love the idea behind the game you won't be disappointed. Give it a try or, go for a similar but different game – Wheel of Fortune 3rd Edition, another great trivia game just as well designed.
