Another simple first person shooter
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death, is a 2003 SIERRA game based on the British comic book series 2000AD , rather than the well known 1995 movie starring Sylvester Stallone. The game is very short with around 1-2 hours of gameplay time in total. The game was released on a budget, and was sold as a budget game which was then ported to various consoles, including the Playstation 2, Original Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube consoles. Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death is very similar and comparable in gameplay style to Time Splitters 2 , with it including various modes, multiple characters to choose from, multiplayer, dozens of levels and an arcade mode. The arcade mode can be quite fun, which is a distraction from the short main storyline. The storyline is an interesting insight into the comic book series but could have definitely been elaborated on. I would have liked to have tried playing this with another friend to play the co-operative storyline but I have never got around to it and no-one ever plays on the online servers. The game is just another simple First Person shooter, adding nothing new to the genre. I would recommend playing something like Unreal Tournament, if you are wanting to play a good first person shooter. If you are a real Judge Dredd fan then, this game might be for you simply because of it's references to the comic book series. Play this game if you are just looking for an afternoons entertainment.
