Mirror and laser mini war game!
Laserwar is a cool artillery game, but it's photon based! You shoot lasers! Thus, you have to make sure that you place your mirrors the right way so that they deflect the shots of your enemy while orienting your shots the right way. It's a game that is played in turns; you get to shift a mirror and then shoot, then the enemy has the same options. It's like a chess game, a comparison furthermore valid, since the game takes place on a grid; sure, it's a larger grid than an 8x8, but then again, lasers travel instantaneously and covering ground that way is not an issue; what is an issue though is trying to find a balance between attack and counter attack; while at first it might seem easy, you'll soon find out that it takes a bit to find the right balance so as to reach your goal; total annihilation of your enemy! If you want yet another layer of gameplay that takes the laser idea even further, Laser Chess does that, by basically having the ideas of this game play over a classic game of chess! But even so, Laserwar is worth it, for puzzle and strategy lovers; it's a cool, involving mind exercising game that is well done, even if simple graphically.
