Party based French first person dungeon crawler
Le Maitre Des Amesis an EGA era first person (of the Golden Box style) RPG, or rather, more precisely, a dungeon crawler of that period. It is a pretty well produced game, pretty well balanced. It has 6 characters to choose from, but in the game you can only play with up to 4 individuals in your party. In terms of specializations the game offers you warriors, wizards, clerics dwarves as well as elves. It's thus a classic lineup, stapled in Tolkien races. And, while the game is in French, if you know the language it can be quite easy to go from mission to mission. The end goal is to stop this threat, that lurks within a castle, where the action of the entire game takes place. As you'll find out, there are secret passages, areas where you can only go after you've located certain keys and so on; this means that you will have to do some backtracking, but it works, and given that you never have to travel a lot of space without some action, or without finding a chest or some puzzle, it's a pretty surprising game, and very exciting to play, even more than some classics of the genre, such as The Eye of the Beholder. So, if you like the classic first person dungeon crawler genre, this is a good representative of it!
