Expansion that makes the great medieval strategy even better
Sure, this expansion puts its money where its mouth is: it adds more content, more maps; however, it doesn't stop there, it also polishes the main game, with loads of mini improvements. The AI has also gotten some much desired polish, making the playing of the vanilla game a bit of a silly thing to do without this expansion. However, the expansion also makes things harder for the player; the game is a lot harder now that the AI doesn't just mindlessly send units your way. Nope, now you can expect flanking, support from archers and generally more collaborative play from the part of the enemy. But, as I said, this is a meat and potatoes expansion as well: there are 20 more maps, a new mode, for skirmishes, and also, something that had made the game to still have a dedicated community, a serious map editor. And, yeah, I could take all day detailing all the new improvements, the others tweaks and little perks this version of the game adds; but, in a phrase, what this game does is just push the experience forward with more of everything, which is why you should really play Lords of the Realm 2 with this expansion installed, at all times. It sure is worth it.
