A pugilistic, early 90s bonanza, unintentionally funny!
In Lowblow you will play a fierce pugilist, or a boxer, for laymen :P. No matter, it looks very mid 80s, with basic colors in the 8 bit spectrum, with animations that will definitely put a smile on your face if you consider the muscles and the positions of the boxers, as well as the way they convey masculinity through their body language. Bit that was how these early boxing games looked like. Anyway, it's quite a nice game in that it offers you a nice way to know what your enemy is likely to do next, based on body language (the poses) and thus, you can learn to control the game better. Controls easily also, and quite fast. Not a very cursive game Lowblow is, but that was to be expected. Still, it is playable, has that mid to late 80s fun factor all over it. If you like it you should also download Micro League Wrestling 2, even if it is not about the noble punch exchanging game. So, all things considered, is a cool game, I think it would play great for a fun, tongue in cheek party game, as it played solo is not as interesting, but with a cheering audience of alcohol addled individuals it sure reveals itself as a fun inducing beast.
