Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries is a great expansion pack to the second MW game and includes a lot of new goodies to the existing sweetness - the expansion creates a totally new view on the standard game - you are not on anybody side because you are in it only for the money and only to money do you serve. Basically, you are the head of a big tech team and are paid to do mercenary work to whoever has the thickest wallet. You are completely free in your decisions and the only thing you have to worry about is who is going to pay you for your dirty work. Goodies in the game include better graphics, a lot more vehicles to control (including an hovercraft) and the ability to recruit an airspace pilot to help you with aerial missions. Basically, it's the same fun game with a lots of new features and a lot more freedom of choice. The action is one of the highest I've seen in the series and the outstanding soundtrack that is blaring in the background definitely lifts up the fighting spirit. Fans of the series shouldn't miss this one out.

Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries is a standalone expansion pack to MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat and is a definite experience for Mechwarrior fans. Unlike the previous game, the player works as a mercenary for the almighty C-bill. You can purchase mechs and hire lancemates, while accepting various contracts in order to keep your team functional. Your loyalty exists only to money, not sides. While you are fighting Inner Sphere battles, a threat lies with origins without the Inner Sphere. The Almighty Clan Invasion begins here, and you can experience some of the greatest battles of this invasion, such as the battle of Wolcott and the battle of Luthien. This game also consists of a killer soundtrack, adding to the game more action.
