Stop Dr. Spoil Sport from destroying Earth!
Menace of Dr. Spoil Sport is a cool adventure game, colorful, almost for children, were it not for the very dark story at the core of it. You see, in the game you play as a defender of Earth, who has to go above and beyond the call of duty and stop the dastardly villain from reducing Earth to mince meat. Now, he's in space and from there, he's built a space station capable of blasting Earth around and just making it no more than a memory. But that outcome can be overcome if you take the game's adventure challenge and just complete it without fail. Gameplay wise Menace of Dr. Spoil Sport is a classic adventure game, built around classic adventure game tropes; you solve puzzles, you interact and converse with characters and you move in the world. Graphically, interestingly enough, while many games produced in 92 were much more capable looks wise, Menace of Dr. Spoil Sport looks like it's produced out of EGA tiles; but it somehow creates a world of one color blocks and not too much detail that works with the story and has a certain retro vibe that just works. Something similar, though much more advanced story wise and graphically, is Zak McCracken Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders which will take you on a journey back and forth in time and in space too.
