NHL 98 is a hockey game released in 1997 by Electronic Arts, one of the leading companies in the digital business, because of its creative, artistic vision and outstanding technology. This game is the sequel to NHL 97, is challenging, dynamic, and will definitely prevent you from being bored. I guarantee you this thing: even if you don't like hockey, or if you don't have any idea about this sport and how it is played, you will enjoy it. There are modes you have to choose, like: season, exhibition, tournament (Stanley cup, Olympic). The gameplay is smooth, fast, without problems concerning the control, and this is a plus. The public cheers and the voice commentator during the matches increase the adrenaline and the excitement of playing. Another aspects that impressed me: the intro, the alive atmosphere, animations (moves, the camera angles), the improved interface and graphics. Also, I can say that this game is the most accurate of all in the series, mostly because of the rules and penalties. These great ingredients make me give NHL 98 a shout out: Now this is what I call a perfect hockey game! EA Games succeeds in the production of sports games, and this production is one of those you should definitely try and add to your collection.
