Those darned rabbits...
A spinoff from the classic Rayman series of platformers, Raving Rabbids is a delightfully bonkers and entertaining game but which suffers somewhat from being played on a PC. It's not as fun to play as the Wii version due to the lack of the Wii remote but even so, there's still some enjoyment to be had here. The idea here is that hordes of wild, out of control rabbits have invaded and captured Rayman, forcing him to fight in gladiator-style combat trials, but with a unique twist. There are over seventy unique trials to take part in across a number of stylized worlds and which will see you take part in madcap races riding animals, throwing cows, milking pigs, taking part in crazy dance offs and a whole heap of other insane challenges. Everything is presented as a series of minigames and you can play solo or with up to three other friends, which is undoubtedly the best way to go as on your own, it's just not as fun. The whole thing is presented in the expected lunatic fashion, with lots of bright colors, crazy worlds and personality-filled characters. If you're into your party games, then this is a decent enough choice but it does feel a bit lacking when compared to the Wii version. The controls are super simple to pick up but it's just not the same playing on a computer without the motion control system, even if it could occasionally be a bit wobbly. The game is funny, with plenty of genuinely amusing moments, especially in multiplayer mode, but there's a bit too much recycling of games so when combined with the change in feel, this is probably best skipped for the Wii version, if possible.
