Rides again... on aliens' skin!
Redneck Rampage: Rides Again is the sequel to Redneck Rampage, released in 1998. I appreciate games that bring humor elements into play and that's the case of Redneck Rampage. The story of the game is that Leonard and Bubba crash-land on Earth with a UFO in the middle of the desert, which somehow is named Area 69, which is clever. From the introduction video of the game, you immediately realize that this game is filled with humor and hillbiily elements. Once you start off the game, you realize that is has a strong resemblance to Duke Nukem 3D. This is due to the fact the both of the games utilize the same engine. Other than that, Redneck Rampage plays the same, with item carrying and auto-aiming. The only that misses is that the main character to spew one-liners during gameplay. The game has about 14 levels and the enemies you fight are mostly jackalops, aliens and other rednecks. The graphics look decent and the sound is okay in my opinion. In conclusion, Redneck Rampage: Rides Again is not a bad first person shooter, however it doesn't feel quite original, but it has certain elements that will certainly keep you entertained for a while.
