Just another perv fest
This is something of a curiosity, a bizarre hybrid of Operation Wolf or Virtua Cop and Do You Like Horny Bunnies?, but while it's certainly unusual, it's not really very good. The story sees players thrown into a near future Japan, where criminal gangs rule and the police are powerless. Rising up to take the city back for ordinary people is a gang of heroes which is led by two beautiful girls, which is where you come in. There are three basic elements to the gameplay here, with the first being exploration, where you run through various third person viewed levels, with some mild platforming and puzzling elements to keep you entertained as you track down the bad guys. The next part is the on-rails shooter aspect, where the view switches to a first person perspective as you shoot down your enemies, with movement handled by the computer. The final part is the graphic, adults-only bit, where you engage in various sexual acts, with the aim being to raise the girls' satisfaction levels by finding the right positions. Requiem Hurts really is bonkers right from the beginning, and is something that could only really have come out of Japan. However, it really is also pretty poor stuff. None of the different game styles really work, with the platforming sections being pretty tedious affairs, while the shooting parts are just not satisfying or enjoyable enough. The sex scenes are going to be the big draw for most rock dwellers though, and in this respect, the game can at least be considered a success, although it's a rather dubious one. The visuals are details and full of improbably proportioned ladies, so if that's what floats your boat, you might have some lonely fun here.
