The robot soccer of the future!
Speedball is a sort of collage of American football and soccer, all set in the future, played by Mech suited players and quite nasty a game, overall. That is so because the game can be cheated, you can attack your adversary, fault them, without issues, as long as you bribe the referee! Hehe, I guess future sports would not be any more clear from issues. Also, another great feat that this game offers you is the graphical layout and look, which is very NES like, 8bit, but by that token it sure doesn't look bad. The animations are swift and relatively precise and the controls are just as simple (2 buttons for defense and offense moves) plus the menu based interactions that are paid in tokens. For some reason the game reminded me of Captain Keen, a platforming series, but nope, this game is an action sports sort of sim, as I explained, combining soccer and American football. So, if you love older soccer simulations this game here can be a great option, a way to diversify your play and experience a different kind of game.
