Sci Fi adventure with a campy story
Starblade is one of the first games delivered by Silmarilis. The company had a knack for adventures and RPGs and it shows, they can tell a story and throw all sort of puzzles at you. But will it be enough to keep you going for the entire duration of this game? Well let's see: If you love a story that throws in aliens, space exploration and elements that seem taken from a Sci Fi pulp novel, one criterion is marked. If you do not ask a lot graphically, but enjoy a good old pixilated lot of backgrounds, though in their defense, rather well drawn, then another brownie point for this game as well should be offered. If you also find that adventure games that are never too complex are too your liking, the kind that never challenge you with unintelligible puzzles, are your favorites, then Starblade should definitely be on your list. So, as you can see, this is a good concoction of adventure in space with nice, never too hard puzzles. Try it out if any of those elements seem appealing to you, as the game has them all.
