Top down action /brawler, graphically clean, well produced
In Street Fighting Man you play as this renegade individual whose only wish is to terminate the crime that is all around him. But, he's no saint either and him too ends up in a prison. And that's where the game begins. The fights are pretty interesting and pretty visceral. Punch an enemy and his thrown back from where you are. Have more than one enemy coming to get you and you will need to organize your punching better. At times there are also areas that ask you to complete some other objectives, such as freeing prisoners or some other ones. At any rate, it's a very simplistic game, but it works great, it is not a broken game or a pretentious one. The graphics look 8bit, clean, a bit like the games that used to be produced on Commodore computers. But all the elements work well and create a very tight game, quite hard towards the end but never ruthless or unforgiving. Sure, it doesn't exceed Renegade but it sure feels great, like the developers actually cared to produced not only a playable game, but a very personal game.
