Will remind you of Doom and Duke Nukem 3D!
Wanton Destruction fits perfectly in the category of ok shooters, as it has only so much to give. The main gameplay mechanics and general feel are "stolen" from games such as Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, but unfortunately this game is not as original as these ones. But fear not, if you were looking for a shooter in that particular genre, Wanton Destruction will surely offer you a blast from the past. There are a few issues with the game, as the combination of 3D environments and poorly animated sprites for the enemies might not be everyone's cup of tea, and, besides, there are ton of graphical glitches. Plus, the weapons behave a bit toy like, with effects that will just underwhelm you. So, anyway, while there are even lesser shooters out there, WD is by no means a great shooter, nor is it a broken game. However, the community patches and mods are more fun than the vanilla, base game, so you might want to trace these ones in order to get your entertainment's worth from this one, otherwise you'll just feel a bit underwhelmed.
