Crudely produced wrestling game; hardly playable
Take Down Wrestling is an old wrestling based action-fighter game, based on American wrestling. It has a pretty old and hard to sink into build; the wrestlers are very small, as you can only see them from above, and their moves are hard to learn, plus, you might not even know if you've executed a combo the right way, since the animations are so minimal that you can't always see what is going on. Not only that, but the number of animations frames is small, which makes the game feel like it's not responding promptly. Therefore, you can't really sink into it. As I said, it's a top down game, yet for an action-beat em up-fighter game it is pretty unsatisfying. Plus, it's delivered in EGA graphics, so, the not-so-fun fest is completed by ugly 4 color tiles and textures. Better to download 4D Sport Boxing, which, at the very least looks better and is much more playable, even if an old title itself. The animations and controls just work better, which is what you need a game like this to do, to warrant some play time out of it!
