Test Drive 1, 2 and 3
This game collection contains 3 main games, Test Drive the original, the second game in the series, Test Drive2: The Duel and a third game called Test Drive: The Passion. Except these standalone titles, you also get two additional addons that expand the number of vehicles as well as bringing in a few more tracks. At any rate, all three games offer you the same type of deal, racing through 2D front facing sprite decors, while trying to beat your opponents. The game tries to simulate racing as best as it can, but, ultimately, it just offers you an ok experience, with the main issue being that the steering is a bit inaccurate. The third game in this series jumps to vector based graphics, which is different, but not entirely a nice experience, but then again, you have to keep in mind that these were very early games, and not exactly games you would categorize as photorealistic. I mean, keep in mind that they were meant to run on 286 IBM compatibles, one of the first mass produced processors at the time, and not exactly the speedier out there! Alternatively, try Lotus, my favorite sprite based racer of the era, and a much more colorful game, overall.
