A PS1 3D brawler, poor originally, even poorer ported for DOS...
The problem with The Incredible Hulk: The Pantheon Saga is that it displays the 3D world in which the Hulk moves about in a very narrow window, the draw distance being absolutely abysmal. That's strike no.1; no.2, the game uses, excuse my French, a shitload of buttons, about 8 of them, without taking into consideration the arrow keys; that, by itself should drive any self respecting player away. But wait, there's more! All of these buttons do very little different things, and, because you don't really feel like investing time into learning what it is that they control, you'll most probably just mash them like crazy, after all this is a brawler type game, mainly. However, not only is the game drawn at a distance of, say, a few in game meters, but the animations are so ugly and uninspired, let alone the design of the levels themselves lacking; and that would be strike 3! By which point I'm not sure anyone would want to have anything to do with this one anymore. But just to add insult to injury, I'm gonna let you know about this one other aspect too: the buttons you need to press are not labeled in the ported version, nope, you are asked to press exactly the buttons that you'd encounter on a PS1 controller! Thank you very much Eidos, boy, were you some kind of professional back in the day! So, no, no, no aaaand NO! I'll play my bidimensional Mega Man or my Super Mario 64 yet again, rather than punish myself with this monstrous contraption!
