Dull interactive movie
The original Voyeur was a pretty ropy bit of interactive titillation that provided a few cheap thrills for keen armchair observers of human life in the form of a dodgy movie-style experience that was so popular in the 1990s. This follow-up continues in much the same vein but doesn't improve the quality a lot, making it one for collectors and grubby-minded gamers only. The story finds a newly promoted female doctor thrust into command of a research institute after the mysterious death of her predecessor. Everyone then gathers in his remote mountain cabin for the reading of his will but the killer is still on the loose and tonight, he's coming for the female doctor. It thus falls to you, as an anonymous voyeur who has control of a video camera and microphone and who is watching everything which unfolds in the cabin, to prevent this from happening. What follows is a fairly cheap and somewhat tawdry game, where you go around recording potential evidence of the killer's activities, and pretty much everything else going on, while solving a few puzzles. While this could have been an interesting game, it's mostly let down by the sheer limited nature of the gameplay. There really isn't enough to do, with only a handful of puzzles and a few FMV sequences to watch, so things get dull pretty quickly. In its favor, the acting on display here isn't too bad and there actually isn't much in the way of sauciness to offend, which could be a plus or minus point, depending on your position. Overall though, this is just a bit too dull for its own good and is easily skipped.
