Exceptional in many ways
Warhammer 40.000: Rites of War is a 1999 strategy role-playing game, being the third of the Warhammer 40,000 series. You control the races from Eldar, proving that you are not so easy to be defeated. There are some important elements that deserve to be mentioned, because they make this game capable to reach the players hearts. The military units are created with maximum care, from both visual and logical points of view. There are terrestrial and aerial military units. The ones from the second category are very expensive, but the more it costs you, the more advanced they are, causing more damage on the battlefield. About the graphics, I can strongly affirm that the Warhammer 40.000 series have always excelled at the graphics area, succeeding to introduce the players to a fantastic universe. The great animations add an extra flavour to the visuals, and the panoramas design show the developers attention to details. The sounds and the music maintain the captivating ambiance, but nothing too much interesting about them. When an enemy unit is destroyed, the effects relating to this moment are pretty cool. Almost every mission require you to reclaim some lost artifacts, that have the special ability to offer great powers to your unit. If you like to catch your adversaries by surprise, play this game that deserves to be placed among the best RPGs!
