United annelids, watch the bomb skewer your rings!
Not much of a poet I am, but at any rate, Worms United is a pretty intense experience. I used to play it quite a bit when I was in high school, and it really was the kind of game that would not allow you to do anything else until you were done with it! It was so because the version packed even more cool weapons than earlier versions because the worms were even better animated and the playing grounds were diverse as you could with for. I'll be honest my most favorite is without a doubt Worms Armageddon, but without a doubt United had its place on my hard drive. Anyway, for those of you who don't know what this unassuming game series is about, I'll just say this much: it's a turn based strategy in sidescroller 2D in which you control a battalion of worms (anime a little, European cartoon style a little as well). You have to shoot the adverse team, and try to occupy the playing field in such as manner as to stay as protected as you can from their fire. But, that can be much easier said than done, as you'll need to be in the line of fire to get them. Unless... Unless you are so capable to use the wind in your favor so as to, say, throw a grenade that will land exactly next to an explosive barrel, which in turn will explode a portion of 2D land which will collapse into water, which will drown the adversary's team! Yap, you've got it, it's this strategizing and risk taking that keeps Worms Armageddon, and to be fair, most of the series nice to play even today. If you haven't tried Worms at all, this game can be a pretty good choice to start with. Watch out though, it can be more than addictive!
