Let's go for a ride!
As you might expect from the title, this game falls into the same category as things like Roller Coaster Factory and if you're into such things, it makes for a decent addition to a collection which includes Rollercoaster Tycoon. It does exactly what it says on the tin and allows players to mess around with various elements in order to create their own super fun thrill rides before letting them test their creations on their friends. You've got a small selection of coaster types to choose from, with each variation having a number of unique connecting parts, so your first job is to pick a style and then the fun begins. You can lay things out pretty easily in whatever fashion you want, and it's possible to come up with some pretty crazy constructions if you let your imagination run riot. To create a greater sense of immersion, you can also add textures to your coasters as well as scenery objects and other things, and then once you think it's all finished, you can test them in glorious 3D. As far as construction sets go, this one isn't bad. There could have been a slightly wider range of coaster types to choose from, as the three on offer here isn't a lot, but the simple to use interface means you can get down to the nitty gritty of coaster construction quickly and easily. The visuals are pretty decent, with a nice level of detail in the scenery which makes things feel more immersive, while the sense of speed when you're on your ride makes things feel quite exciting. At the end of the day, this isn't going to be for everyone, but if you've got a hankering to create a roller coaster, this does the job.
