An exploration in line based 3D maze in first person
In 3-Demon you are a creature that will try to find his/her way through the world's most minimalist dungeons ever. The color of everything is blue, Windows screen of death variety, and, to top it all off, the game throws no more or less than the most minimalist wireframe construction of interior spaces at you. But, for what it's worth, it's such a refreshing experience. It got me thinking that, in fact, all games are basically that, in 3D, from a fist person perspective, and what manages to set them apart is you, the players, with, you know, some different textures and some other bits and pieces. But, to be frank, I was just as enticed and excited to play this one as I was excited to play any other weirdly minimalist game out there, and so, 3-Demon manages a pretty well done gameplay experience within these constructs. Yes, there is a goal to all your walking about, but the main thing is the head space that the game creates, in always breaking down the essence of what a game is and what it needs to give you. And, as it turn out, you can do a lot with the most minimal of graphical elements! So, go ahead, if you liked Wolf 3D but want to experience something even more minimalist, this one will absolutely give you more with less!
