Soccer-hockey in futuristic cyberpunk clothes
3D Cyberpuck is a nice idea, a blend of two sports, one of them soccer, the other hockey, delivered in the future, in a cyberpunk mantle, all of these elements well wrapped together to make for a really satisfying and very nice interactive experience, at least as an idea... In practice though, the game is pretty bland, at the most, when the 3D engine just blatantly doesn't get in the way of seeing the game. And even when you see it, you can't shake the feeling that something is wrong, that something is not quite right. What is that? Well, it's the engine, man, it's the way the way the perspective looks, very claustrophobic ,a nd very unimaginative. At any rate, all of these things aside, 3D Cyberpuck can keep you interested for a bit, just for the idea, but it is way behind in terms of the quality of the execution. The execution is so lacking, so skewered. So, that being said, 3D Cyberpuck is a game that could have been better, had it had a bit more time to coagulate. As it is, I'd say, download, for instance, Slipstream 5000, another cyberpunk themed game, this time a racer, and, this time, actually enjoyable per se.
