Playable, satisfying, Arkanoid clone
I don't remember if I played this one back in the day, though it somehow feels familiar, even before booting it for this review, but, anyway, what I can say for sure about it is that it's a modern, 2D, well produced, graphically superior and with a few aces up its Arkanoid like sleeve, though it sure has some elements that expand the original. Now, in terms of gameplay there aren't too many new things to talk about. You have to make sure that you catch the ball with your paddle, and by choosing (or, well, just happening to) to hit it in a certain portion on your paddle, its trajectory will be different. As the game progresses, the speed of the ball will increase and many more dangers will come your way, so the game can be quite alert and engaging. In terms of number of levels, types of bricks and additional powerups, you won't be let down, this game packs a whole bunch, so all things considered, if you're not necessarily looking for the original experiences, this late 90's game can be a good paddle to ball to wall of bricks arcader for those breaks or lazy Saturdays!
