Advanced simulation of military flight; really good
Flight of The Intruder is a advanced flight game, military grade, well away of its time, to be quite honest, in almost all departments. Controls wise it's absolutely fantastic, in terms of the quality of the graphics it is also really well done, and also, in terms of the way it is built, overall, the levels, the enemies and the overall build quality you can't really find anything too unpolished about it. In terms of realism, historical realism, this game is set in the Vietnam war years, and it did try to get some of the missions, aerial ones, right. I'[d say it's more in the vein of these ones, rather than totally accurate, but nonetheless, I don't think that in 2014 anyone goes to a title from 1990 for historical to the letter accuracy. So, with that in mind, I also need to say this: Flight of The Intruder is a pretty meaty game, with quite a few missions. The good thing is that there are also some random encounters, dog fights and the like, so, to that extent, maybe the life you'll live in the ski will not properly be suggestive of the amount of encounters in the real world. But heck, I can live with this one element of missed accuracy, if it means I get more challenge and action! Play it, and download it along with Air Duel: 80 Years of Dogfighting, not a very original game, but a good enough one, and more diverse geographically.
