An interesting take on espionage/hacking gameplay
Well, I guess what the developers of this game envisioned as the future had quite a bit to do with what the future turned out to be. This is an espionage/cracking computers and hacking, set in a sort of puzzle type game, with a hefty dose of adventure, in a classical style. Nonetheless, Hacker 2 - The Doomsday Papers is a pretty cool game, one that asks you to complete all sort of challenges to crack someone's computer. Your abilities make you valuable to the government which employs you and thus, you will be on the side of the law, like a sort of NSA agent, cracking people's computers and being offered quite a few different missions throughout. Nonetheless, the gameplay, effectively, is about logical puzzles, which is great, and also, within Hacker 2 - The Doomsday Papers you get to experience what the mid 80s people thought hacking would become! Yeah, they kind of fell short of the mark, but they did indeed understand how the future will revolve and what cybernetic security will be all about! Play it along with, say, Little Computer People, a more imaginative computer exploring game, yet a very interesting one nonetheless.
