NES top down action like, not too well polished, but fun
This is an arcade top down shooter game, featuring a puny little Rambo that goes about through areas that have only so much anything to do with the movie. But, hey, this game was released in 85 and much worse games of the movie tie ins have been released in the wild, which is to say, that, in comparison to, say, E. T. the Extraterrestrial, this game here actually is quite playable and fun. Sure enough, it is unpolished, a bit blocky, a bit dodgy controls wise and, overall, a pretty simple game. But, all things considered it's still entertaining, especially if you love action games where you shoot and dodge bullets. Alternatively, for yet another Rambo based game, see Rambo 3 which ups the graphical ante but offers pretty much the same kind of experience. So, yeah, when dumb but fun action, arcade style is needed, Rambo: First Blood Part II wil cut it, until it just bleeds out! Yeah, at times the experience can be fulfilling, but don't expect it to be long lived, it's just for a lonely weekend, when you feel like firing up the Dos Box and trying something silly!
