Not that wacky
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and its prequel are fun additions to the world building sim genre that is best typified by the likes of SimCity and Transport Tycoon. The two titles offer an accessible, enjoyable entry in the specialized style of game that often proves a bit daunting for many gamers due to the strategy- and numbers-heavy thinking that such things require. Wacky Worlds is an add-on for the second game in the series and does require the base game to work, but unlike packs for the original RollerCoaster Tycoon, this one doesn't offer any major additions to the gameplay, serving only to enhance the experience, and making it one for hardcore fans only. The main additions brought by this pack are new rides and scenarios that take their inspiration from various famous landmarks from around the world, like the Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China. The scenarios basically occur in or around these landmarks, making them a mostly visual addition, with only a few other small extras worthy of note. As far as expansion packs go, this one is actually pretty disappointing. The gameplay remains as compelling as ever, and it is very addictive and enjoyable to build up your park to the point where the guests just can't get enough of your rides. However, there's just too little content here to make this a truly worthwhile purchase, as beyond the visual excitement of seeing the various landmarks, there just isn't much to get your teeth stuck into. The graphics are still nicely done, and bring these exotic parts of the world to life with style, but it's just not enough.
