Shoot, shoot, shoot, to win virtual prizes!
This game takes its premise quite literally, and by premise I mean its name - Shooting Gallery, which it is to the letter! While other shooting gallery games might add some other idea in there, in the melting pot, no, this one takes itself as seriously as it can; you are in a shooting gallery, of which you can choose a few panels with a number of rows of objects, some static, some on the move, and you are asked to shoot particular ones. Shoot the ones that need be shot, in some levels avoid shooting the other ones, and you get to the next level. It's Duck Hunt for the NES, the light gun specialist but in less interesting clothes, that is, if you need that these shooting gallery games have some premise or some story to tell. If not, well, Shooting Gallery is just as good as any gallery of shooting games! And that says quite little, because, while playable, the title is boredom incarnate. After one or two playthroughs you simply will content to have seen it all and move on. No excitement, no variation, simply a game that took itself to seriously and forgot about the fun factor. So, yeah, rather skip about, if you want shooting but in an envelope that entices you, download one of the Alien Shooter games. At least there you shoot for your virtual life!
