Fairly pointless expansion pack
The original SimCity was a groundbreaking piece of software that brought the joys of city creation and development to the masses and which has proved highly influential in the years since. A number of sequels and spinoffs followed, including the likes of SimEarth and SimAnt and which have proved testament to its enduring popularity. As the name here suggests, this is a terrain editor for the original game which adds a few new features which were not originally present. It's not exactly a must have title for anyone but the most diehard fans of the game, as these new additions aren't exactly staggeringly amazing and are probably included in later offerings anyway. What you do have here though is the ability to edit your beloved city's environment by adding in features such as rivers, lakes, islands and trees, which you couldn't do in the base game. Another feature included is the ability to wipe out all man-made objects and buildings with the touch of a button, while there are also a whole lot more ready built cities for you to use and play around with to your heart's content. For an add-on pack, there isn't a whole lot of content on offer to be honest and compared to other such extras, this one looks pretty slim. The additions are welcome but as mentioned, they don't really add that much to the game itself and you'll probably feel a little annoyed at such slim pickings. The new cities are slightly more attractive but again, there's nothing that makes this a required download so really, this is one expansion you can comfortably skip.
