A remake of an old fighter classic
In Yie Ar Kung-Fu you get to fight as you did in the 90s, having in mind the chance to become a grandmaster fighter, one that will allow you the pleasure of minimalist characters, animated with only a handful of frames, the joy of not having to strain your mind and button mashing buttons just to get this game to run as it should, and also, simple, yet highly decorative areas, where you will meet your adversaries. Yep, that's all that you need really, a game that keeps you playing without issues, allowing you to fight no more or less than 9 opponents, and, at the same time, a game that doesn't ask of you to perform any out of the ordinary stunts of precision. But, it sure is a feel good fighter game, and this later remake/ re release sure earns its salt by making the gameplay quite good and quite fresh. So, ultimately, Yie Ar Kung-Fu works as advertised, it doesn't offer you more than you'd want and it doesn't offer you less than you'd expect! Yeah, a Guilty Gear game has class and style, but this one has an old timey Amiga feel that might just be the thing you need at times! So try it, it sure is a gem in waiting!
