Naval themed wargame, with a lot of text based interactions
I get that this game was released in 87, but, in all frankness, the graphics that some other wargaming simulations achieved, even at that time were really much more evolved. But no, Battleship Bismarck is content to just tell you what happens, text based, though there are a few graphical interfaces, such as the one that focuses on pinpointing other ships o submersibles, but many other aspects are simulated only as text based notifications. I guess you can get used to this type of interface, but, for me this just proved a bit too shallow and too simplistic to keep me drawn for long. Instead, I would much rather revisit Midway: The Battle that Doomed Japan or another nice naval sim Strike Fleet just for the more graphically advanced interactions. So, what can I say, this is an ok, functional simulator but it was a bit lazy on the graphical representations, even for its time, and I can't say I enjoyed it too much. But, if you aren't necessarily drawn to graphics as much as you are to the mathematics of the simulation this can just as well be an ok game to try, as underwhelming as it may have been for me.
