) Post prohibition private detective adventure game
Jack Orlando embodies the looks and the character of the seminal American private eye. He is smart, has a way with people and is also a master of deduction and of reading people. But, as the story goes, he ahs fallen from the graces of his bureau and now has to make do trying to get back to his former self. At the beginning of the game, Orlando is found next to a dead body. Why this is so remains a mystery and during the game this will be your main task. Basically, the game asks you to find out the real killers of the man you were found next to, and that's going to be a challenge. The game pits you in a noir looking set of environments, and with all your might, you will try to find out who framed you and thus reestablish your name. The story will keep you guessing to the very end while the puzzles themselves will include detective staples such as clue finding to a lot more complicated deduction games. But, mostly the game thrives on its atmosphere and interesting cast of characters. So, if you like noir adventures or movies, this game can hook you up pretty darn well, as it is similar with Alfred Hitchcock Presents The Final Cut in terms of how it makes use of cinema tropes but also in the way it lingers on the character descriptions.
