A vertical shooter with lots of pow-wow!
Dif-2 Mirage Thunder is a perfectly enjoyable, action packed action shooter, vertical shooter, produced in that sweet 8 bit set of graphical constraints, but, even is spite of that, it manages to really create a lot of excitement. The graphical style is the space futuristic one, sprinkled with punk elements, to produce a more than enjoyable graphical asset combinations. Oh, but the gameplay! Simple and very common, as it might be, it is nonetheless very engaging. You get a lot of bits and pieces, lots of enemies, lots of tight situations to get out of, and so, it grows on you. Sure, after a while it becomes a bit repetitive, but, if you play it in short bursts that feeling of been there done that is sure to quickly dissipate. And so, Dif-2 Mirage Thunder is a mighty fine game, well produced and very interesting throughout, and you will surely love it. But, most of all, what you'll like about it is the well polished nature of most encounters, in that, if there are patterns of enemies, they are consistent, and you can always figure out a way to beat them. Play it and have some other gems of the genre around, if you really are into the genre!
