Silent Thunder: A-10 Tank Killer II is an action simulation game released in 1996 by Sierra On-Line, Inc. In this sequel to A-10 Tank Killer, you control a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. Your player named Jack "Loudmouth" Haggart is a rookie, but as he progresses solving the missions, his reputation will significantly raise. The intro cinematics are very realistic, and will provoke your interest into playing this game. Unlike its prequel, Silent Thunder has incredible and detailed terrain graphics, and as far as I noticed, by playing many flight simulators, this game excels at visuals among its competitors. Your objectives mainly consist in maintaining peace in the locations you are going, by flying at low altitude, shooting hard and avoiding obstacles in your way. Speaking of details , I am not referring only to the environment, but to the aircraft and other objects around your character. And this is the main reason this game is worth buying and playing. Another aspect that is top notch is the soundtrack, which adapts very well with the type of action you involve with. The music is based on rock songs but varies to other genres. You have to choose between three modes: Quick Start missions, Campaign mode and Fly One Mission. Try this simulator and you won't regret it!
