Sequel to X-Wing and a fantastic space flight game
It's no wonder that back in the day Star Wars: TIE Fighter - Defender of the Empire had the following it had. X-Wing, its predecessor had already built the premise for a great space fighter and exploration game, but this one took it to a new level of graphical and gameplay excellence. The game has a few different gameplay modules, all of which will be detailed in the well build game interface – the hub. From the hub you will learn how to pilot your ship, how to engage with enemies and also, you get a chance to immerse yourself in the lore of the universe, as the game has a built in database of missions (which can be played as instructional missions) and information. Right now, I need to let you know that the game is not easy to learn. Those that haven't dabbled in the intricacies of space flight sim games might find themselves at a loss, given that a lot of details will also need to be learned on the go. But, if you allow the game to sink in and if you love the Star Wars universe, you will no doubt have a great time in this one. Other than that, fights are really interesting, as they are disputed from a first person perspective. The special dog fights can be a hassle to learn at first, but after you get used to the controls, their beauty will reveal itself in no time.
