Nice try, not good enough
Under Fire! is a tactical simulation game of the World War 2 that came out in the early 1985 but unfortunately underqualifies in the terms of graphics and gameplay. The game is pretty small and limited, since it featured only three maps available for play. German, Russian and American nationalities were represented. One of the more interesting features of the game that (fortunately) didn't carry on to later games is that, at the end of the scenario, you don't know if you've won or not. You are presented with a statistic of casualties and lost equipment and list possession of objectives, leaving the determination of "victory" to you. The display, the graphics and everything else is quite simplified, even by the terms of 1985. The display only has four of the simplest colors and there is virtually no sound from the game. If you like war games that are set around the World War 2, I suggest you miss this one out, since it is uninspiring, not very detailed and, frankly, not a lot of fun. I suggest you try out another game, such as Train Escape to Normandy or Silent Hunter.
