An old fail
Before 1991, Alex Kidd was the most representative character of SEGA. Alex Kidd was a monkey boy, half human, half chimp. This guy was the most notable mascot of Sega in the late 80'. And that's all. Alex was the hero of some adventure games like Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Alex Kidd in High Tech World. After the 8-bit era has upgraded to 16-bit era, Alex Kidd was lost. He took part in one more adventure, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, but wasn't so popular like the previous adventures. This last game was developed in 1989. In this one, Alex finds out that his father, King Thor, has been kidnapped and held prisoner far away on a planet. So our hero starts his journey to save his father. The controls is annoying, Alex will miss the enemy many times, even if it is just in front of him. The flying kick is also hard to activate. Another annoying this is the fight with stage-end bosses. Alex plays with them Rock-Paper-Scissors. If you choose correctly, you win. If not, you die, and everything is random, so it's not fun at all. In conclusion, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, is annoying and hard to control game.
